I genuinely appreciate the added challenges of today's educators--not only do they have to keep up with technology, they are also faced with the added task of convincing an ever-growing number of children about the importance of technology in seeking today's and tomorrow's jobs. My hats are off to them! As a former public educator who dealt with the onset of the computer age in the school setting and worked well into the 8th & 9th generation computers, I was challenged to keep up; yet it was an awesome ride! I am a pre-service teacher and along with my cohort Jarred believe that creating an online community that shares ideas and thoughts that we can build, and publish in ways that were not possible before now. The challenges of creating an online community are many but the reasons to do so justify the work.
