Keynote Addresses
Dr. Anthony Muhammad, award-winning principal who guided two urban schools in Michigan to national prominence and to the coveted National Blue Ribbon Award. Dr. Muhammad has authored several articles, has been a contributing author to two books and currently has a new book released, Transforming School Culture: How to Overcome Staff Division. Dr. Muhammad is considered one of the top authorities in progressive urban school reform.
Dr. Luis Cruz is the principal at Baldwin Park High School, located approximately 30 miles east of Los Angeles. Luis has experienced notable success at Baldwin Park High School by adopting and implementing a Professional Learning Community framework. Luis has taught and has been an administrator at the elementary, middle and high school levels and is well versed in effectively working with English Language Learners.
Dr. Sharroky Hollie is the co-founder and executive director for the Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning (CCRTL), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality professional development to educators serving African American and Mexican students. The Center works with school districts throughout the country. Dr. Hollie has trained over 10,000 teachers and observed in approximately 1,000 classrooms over the past 9 years.
